I Have Toes!!

Don't worry, this is not another post with yucky pictures of severed toes on it.

It's actually a very CUTE post of a little baby boy who is 4 months old now, getting chunky rolls, is big enough to wear 9-12 month old clothes, tips the scale at 19 lbs already, and who is the happiest, sweetest, most easy-going baby ever.

He discovered that he has toes a few days ago. And he loves them! Of course, what's not to love, right?

He also loves his fingers. They taste so good!

 Reaching... reaching...

He did it! Don't you just want to squeeze him? Don't worry- if you do, he will love it! He's a snuggler.
And although he is in the 95th percentile for weight for his age, he's really very proportional.
He's just SOLID. And so much fun!

Ok. I said this was not going to be an icky toe post. So you can stop reading at this point if you want to & I won't be offended.

But for those of you who are curious about T's toe, here are some pictures taken a few days ago. Let me preface this by saying that kids and their abilities to heal are A-MAZING. 5 1/2 weeks ago, this little boy's toe was cut completely off, except for some skin on the bottom. Today, he has a beautiful little pink toe that is healing miraculously.

There is going to be some scarring, and we aren't yet sure what is going to happen after the toenail comes off. The toenail on his 2nd toe is already starting to re-grow. The one on his big toe is loose, but I am doing everything I can to keep it in place, in hopes that a new one will soon be forming.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and love to T during this hard time- he is running around like nothing even happened now. Still wearing his sandals everywhere, and being careful (when he remembers to) but that little toe is healing!!

I am so amazed at how fast T's toe has healed. What a blessing to have our toes!
