I decided this year that I want to get back into shape. After all, it is a new year, and who doesn't make that their #1 resolution, right? But if you are like me, you need something to motivate you to get your butt on the treadmill.
So I decided to sign up for a Half-Marathon. My original goal was to go for the St George Marathon, which I still might, who knows. But the Utah Valley Half Marathon starts just down the road from me, at the turn-off to Sundance. So since they decided to put it in my back yard, I guess I can at least show up.
Who knows? I may discover a new passion. Or, I may kill myself. We'll have to see...

Go Kim! I am thinking the same direction: I want to do a 5K here in Boise in May. Maybe a half marathon wouldn't be impossible... that one sounds really neat to start there by Sundance. Hmmm, maybe I will! Either way, best wishes to you! You should try the Couch-to-5K program to get you started. There are podcasts available and apps for smart-phones if you have access to one of those.
You can do it honey. Just keep working at it and you will get there. Some days it will be hard, but you can do it. I love you.
