"sew'" much to do, "sew" little time

Now that summertime is underway here at Aspen Grove, I've rediscovered the joy of working on some projects for myself. Aspen loves going to age groups, and I'm able to send Madi a couple of times a week as well. So, on those rare days when both the girls are in class and Tysen takes a good 2-3 hour nap, I have time to spend in my hobby room working on projects. I've started a new quilt that I am really excited about. It is a double-wedding ring quilt. I've also been pattern-surfing lately and chosen out a couple more patterns that I want to do. It would be nice if I could finish up a few of my quilts that are just sitting there waiting to be stitched together and bound. But what fun is it to work on an old project when there are so many new ones to start on?

Here's my list of things to-do this summer, pretty much in this order:
1- Finish the 3 quilts I have in progress, and the 3 I plan to start soon.
2- Speech & gross motor therapy with Madi each day.
3- Lose those extra 20 lbs gained from being pregnant.
4- Go to the pool, if it ever warms up past 55 degrees here.
5- Continue reading a book a month with my Book Club
6- De-clutter all the little cluttered areas at home (computer desk, my dresser, the kitchen table)
7- Work on some scrapbooking.
8- Do some house cleaning if there's still time. Just kidding, this is actually like #3 or 4 on the list.

WOW! Go Kim! You're so totally ambitious! I love when you finally find time again after a new baby. It's fun to get all jazzed about all the things you like doing!

Tysen is looking soooo cute!! I love it! When we are there this August (we'll be part of the Neal Family Reunion) I am going to have to squeeeeze his cute chubby self! We're excited to see you guys BTW!

So true, right?!?

But I have 10 days to finish 2 quilts... I must get working! Good luck with yours... I really want to tackle a double wedding-ring one of these days. :)
