The Move

We finally did it. After 10 years of living on the mountain, we have moved down to become valley dwellers. We tried for a house in Lindon, but didn't have enough time to get the financing to go through (2 weeks, over Thanksgiving break... we got the shaft by the seller's relocation company. NEVER do business with Sirva!). So we moved into our duplex in Orem, which actually is a pretty good thing for us. It is roomier, although less space for storage, so we are trying to work out where to put everything... that, and combining 2 houses into 1 has been tricky. We love the location, though- it is close to everything, except work for Jim :)

So, here we are, unpacking boxes and de-junking. Who knew that in 10 years we could accumulate so much stuff in just a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment? I guess having 4 kids does that... it must be all their junk, ha ha! Things I love about it: the big, newly remodeled kitchen, having 1 more bedroom & bathroom, a fenced yard for the kids to play in, NOT having to drive up and down the mountain to take kids to school every day! Madi's bus comes right to our house, it is wonderful!! Things I will miss: summertime at Aspen Grove!!!!

Home sweet home!

Moving is no fun! Glad you are happy there - when we bought our new house last summer we moved to a four bedroom three bath place and I still feel crowded! :) I don't know how you lasted as long as you did in your little apartment. Hope you enjoy your new location! Sorry the other house didn't work out - what a hassle!

It's been a while since this post, but I'm glad you are getting things worked out down in Orem. I love you all so much!
