Last Thursday was Tysen's 2nd Birthday. In so many ways, it is hard to believe he is 2 now. He has grown and changed so much in the past few months. He is talking up a storm, and his personality is really shining through. He is so happy & silly, and loves to make us laugh. He learned how to do a sommersault a few weeks ago- it is so funny!
We just had a simple party here at home. We had an "Activity Scavenger Hunt" for Aspen, which included such activities as sweeping the kitchen floor, watering Mom's plants, counting all the rectangles in the kitchen, and finding 20 blue things in the house. It was fun, and very entertaining (for those of us who were watching, anyways!). Then we unwrapped presents, then had cake and ice cream. Aspen helped me design and decorate T's "Car Cake." His prize for the scavenger hunt were a bunch of army guys, which made their way onto the cake also. So, in no particular order, here are a few pics:
Tysen, blowing out his candles.
The amazing, totally cool Car Cake!
What a happy boy! I love this picture, it is so typical of my happy little boy.
T's Gator from Aunt Debbie- one of his new favorite toys!
Opening Aunt Debbie's gift
Opening his cars- he loves them!
New story from Grandma and Grandpa Dodds. T also really loves stories.
Whoa, how did that get in there?? This was Aspen on Crazy Hair Day. I put a small gatorade bottle on her head and combed her hair up around it & stuck a pony tail in it, then ratted the ends and her bangs. It was pretty crazy alright!
