New Stuff for lots of projects!!!
This past weekend, we took the family down to St George for the weekend, to get out of the never-ending snow up here. And guess what. It snowed on us. Just the first day- and only barely a skiff... and by the time we left 5 days later, it was up to 80 degrees, so we still had a great time. We stayed in a Condo near Tonaquint, so we were able to visit Baby James's grave, and discovered a nature center at the back of the cemetery with a duck pond. The kids loved it! While we were in St George, my sister and I went over to my Mom's to go through her scrapbooking stuff. It is just too hard for Mom to do that kind of thing right now, and she wanted to give her stuff to us girls, so Erika and I divided it up amongst us sisters. I wished that Kristy and Lori could have been there to do it with us, but Erika and I had a great time. I came away from it with a whole box full of rubber stamps, about 12 ink pads, another box full of thousands of sheets of cardstock paper in all different colors, and thousands of stickers and die-cuts. Mom really had some big plans with doing scrapbooks and card making ,especially when Erika was hosting Stampin' Up parties all the time. There was plenty of supplies for all of us- and I am very excited to get busy on some scrapbooks. Mom also gave me all of her quilting and sewing fabric. I had to put that all down at the house in Orem because there were about 10 boxes of various remnants and fabric and such. So now I have PLENTY to do while the kids are in school in the mornings, and this summer while they are in age groups! I'm sad that Mom won't be able to realize all the dreams she had with her scrapbooking and sewing, but so happy that she wanted to give it to us girls. I would post pictures, but we're in the process of hooking up a new computer and I can't download any new pictures right now- so, pictures soon to come!
