Life in the mountains holds many surprises- Moose licking the salt off our car, driving through a foot and a half of snow to get to church because the plow turned around at Sundance instead of coming all the way up the road... well, you get the picture, right? Actually, it is great and we still love it just as much as we ever did up here.
Aspen's Birthday is coming up next Friday. She's getting very excited about it already. She keeps coming up to me and saying, "I'm gonna be 3! I'm gonna be 3!" I was telling her that Madi is going to be 1 shortly after Aspen turns 3, and she looked at me and said, "Ok, but Madi's not going to share my 3!" It was very funny. Yesterday when Aspen was talking about being 3 again, I told her that we would have a fun party with balloons, and cake and ice cream, and presents- and she said, "Presents under the Christmas Tree!" Hmm, somehow she is confused about the whole thing. It sure is cute though.
Madi is getting bigger every day. I can't believe how much she has grown in the last few months. She went from being in the 40th percentile to being in the 97th percentile in her category. Pretty amazing, considering how small she was at birth (3lbs 11oz, 16 inches). She's now over 18lbs. She's very close to sitting on her own unsupported, and getting very close to crawling, too.
Life is good!
