Just when we thought we were getting the sleep issues figured out with Madi, they go and pull a Daylight-Savings-Time joke on us. But it really isn't very funny. Because I have been up since 3:30am with Madi... now it is 7:30, and she went back to sleep an hour and a half ago. But Aspen got up, then Ty woke up a few times, so I finally threw in the towel and said, "Who needs sleep, anyways?? Certainly not me, who is usually Mrs. 8.5 hours or bust!!"
So we're back to square one. Oh- and my new car got hit by a golf ball yesterday after picking Aspen up from school. And the dang kids who did it wouldn't fess up to it. Ok, I didn't actually see them hit me, but they were the only ones in a logical position to do it. And one of them was acting really hedgy and avoiding me when I approached them. What, does my car have a big target on the front of it?? We were egged just a couple of weeks after we bought the car last fall, and still haven't gotten the chipped paint fixed from that episode.
In other news, we're finally over the sickies here- Hooo-raaaayy! Let's just try to keep it that way for a while. We've had such a huge trial in keeping everyone well around here. I guess it comes with the territory of having out kids in the public school system, for one. But Madi has shown some GREAT progress in school lately! I'm ruling out the suspected autism in my mind as we speak. Yes, her teacher did approach me a few weeks ago and breached the subject. I wasn't too excited to hear it. But it's almost like Madi heard us speaking, and decided she needed to step things up a bit- because she started following the classroom routine much better, and even did a few signs for me! I really wish I knew the best way to help Madi progress. Sometimes it is literally one step forward and four steps backwards with her. All I can really do is keep pushing the best I can for the steps forward, and celebrate them as they come.

So sad to hear about your car!!! It really does seem to have a target on it. Hopefully it wasn't hurt too bad. And I'm SO glad everyone is feeling better! Wahoo! Although that is definitely not fun having Madi be awake, and then when she finally sleeps everyone else wakes up. I seriously had no idea how much I really valued sleep until I had Blake. Now it is worth more than gold if I get 8 hours at night and a nap in the day (which doesn't usually happen).
Thanks for reminding me about dark chocolate! I LOVE it! And Scott hates it. So I just may have to go get some and just have one or two a day. And I'm hoping I get to be a luck person who loses the last of the baby weight once I stop nursing. But I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon. I definitely agree that it's the best for the little guy, and it burns extra calories, so why not?
I sure miss being in Utah some days! I was thinking about the house the other day because I was wanting to have a bunch of people over, but our apartment is just too small to have more than 6 people here. I was wishing we had some hook ups with a house like we did with you guys. Oh well. And also, I agree about the January baby thing. It is hard because it's cloudy all the time, freezing cold, and harder to get out. I'm so excited to see the sun today and the warm air tomorrow!
