The Happiest Place on Earth

Here are some pictures from our trip to Disneyland last week. Aspen had such a great time! Madi and Tysen did pretty good, too. I think one of our favorite rides this time was It's A Small World. Because Tysen fell asleep in my arms, and Aspen and Madi were enthralled by all the different dolls and the music. Madi especially liked it! Aspen also loved the Carousel.

Here is Aspen with Minnie. We only saw two Disney characters all day...

Cinderella was gracious enough to let Aspen walk with her on her way to her next desitnation... unfortunately, I wasn't quick enough with the camera so they are both looking the other way.

Can't pass up the family photo in front of the mouse head flowerbed!

Or the shot in front of the castle!

Dad was with us the whole trip- and we're so glad he was! Disneyland with 3 little kids requires 3 adults! We also went to the beach, but traffic was so backed up on the freeway for Labor Day weekend, that it took us almost 3.5 hours to make the trip when it should have only taken just under 2... so by the time we actually got to the beach, we only had about an hour to stay and play before it was time to go. I completely forgot to get the camera out so we didn't get any pictures. It was windy, and the water was cold, so it was better that we didn't stay too long. Aspen was excited to see the ocean though, and had a great time playing in the waves and the sand. The beach we ended up goint to was called Silver Strand, out on Catalina Island. After that, we headed out to my Aunt's place in Jamul to set up the tent on the lawn and camp out with the rest of the family (it was a Family Reunion for my Dad's side). It was fun being with some of my cousins 7 relatives that I don't see very often. Wow, were the dogs & coyotes loud that night, though! I think I got about 5 hours of sleep. The next day, we took the tent down and drove to St George where we spent the night at Mom & Dad's, then came home to AG the next day. It was a LOOONG time in the car! Looking back, I wish we would have spent the whole time in Anaheim, rather than trying to cram too many different things into too little time, but we had fun being together!
