Sunning and Bathing

Tysen had a mild case of jaundice, so we made sure to put him in the sun a few minutes each day. Here he is, getting his "suntan."
We also gave him his first bath. His "belly button" hadn't come off yet, so it was just a sponge bath- he did not enjoy it, until we wrapped him tightly in his towel and washed his hair. He loves having his hair washed! He's looking a lot like baby James in this picture, by the way:
Aspen was very helpful in the bathing process, although she was quite dissappointed that we couldn't use the Baby Bath and put him in it! She really adores her little brother. Madi is still not sure what to think, but we're trying to teach her to be soft with the new baby. As most of you know, she is famous for her pinch grip! It will be fun to watch her as Tysen gets bigger. I think he is going to be really good for her, and she will love him to pieces, like she does the rest of us.

I'm really enjoying having this little newborn baby around, too. So far, he has been really good and only gets fussy if he thinks he's being starved. Breastfeeding is always a difficult process for me, but Tysen nurses really well so it hasn't been quite as bad this time around. We sure love this little guy!

Oh Kim, he's beautiful! I'm so glad to hear Aspen is such a big help. I'm sure someday Tysen will love Maddi pinches :) I wanted to come up and see you while I was in UT but I'm afraid I had a runny nose and didn't want to pass it on :( I'm supposed to be back in UT in Dec. hopefully I can come say hi then!
