Halfway there...

"Good Morning!"

Aspen reading stories to Madi

Today I am 19 weeks pregnant. Technically, I still have one more week before I am half-way. But taking the average weeks of gestation before birth of my past 3 babies into account, this one should come at 37.6 weeks. So that would mean I am more than halfway there. Actually, now that I am not nautiously sick all the time, the time is going by quickly- a little too quickly!
Yesterday Jim and I spent all day down at the house working. Truth be told, he did all the work- I just hung out with the kids... which is still work. The thing with buying an older house, especially one that went into foreclosure, is that there is ALWAYS work to be done, usually involving something that has broken and needs to be fixed. And, when you buy a duplex, you can double the work. But you can also double the rewards- it's a great hobby for Jim, and we love having a place we can go to when we want to have a break from the routine up here. It's nice to have a place to offer family to stay at when they come into town, also.

Aspen and Madi are doing well, just battling yet another cold. Aspen's new thing lately is wanting to go outside and find some friends to play with. The problem is that the only "friends" around right now are either kids at Youth Conference, or staff who are working May Crew. May Crew just ended this weekend, so starting tomorrow we will have all of the summer staff here to start 3 days of training, then we're off and running for the summer- which means Trompers will start, and Aspen can go play with friends every day. She can hardly wait! Madi loves to sit and laugh, at nothing in particular (that I can see, anyways). She loves to sit on my lap facing me, and lay on my growing tummy. It's like her own little pillow. Sometimes, she will be laying on my tummy then sit up, look at it, sometimes even pat it, and smile & giggle. It's at times like this that I wish I could see into her world, and see what she sees & hear what she hears. She's pretty special!

yeah i'd say you're half way there! It will be nice when there are "friends" to go find and play with.. give you a little break! :) So sweet about Madi- I think that we would def see the world and that around us differently if we knew and saw what she does. She is a very special little lady!

I know you are in your busy season Kim but if you are heading up north anytime soon you should bring the girls to come visit. They could play with Audrey's kitchen set and we could have a BBQ!
