Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas this year! We kept it very simple, with just our little family here at Aspen Grove. It was great, we slept in until after 9am, then Jim and I woke up and I made a nice breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and OJ. Then we FINALLY woke Aspen up and dragged her out of bed. Madi was also still sleeping. She must have been very excited for Santa to come, because she had woken up at 2am in the morning and didn't go back to sleep until 5:30!! She hasn't figured out yet that Santa can only come after little girls are asleep. For some reason she was just wide awake, and very happy! Fortunately, her good mood continued after she did finally get up, as these pictures will show. Here is a great picture of her digging into her Stocking goodies:

And playing with her new toy from Santa (she is becoming quite the little "ham" for the camera, and will break into a big, wide-mouthed grin when she sees us pointing it at her):

Aspen had a great time too, and was very good at helping everyone un-wrap their gifts:

Aspen and Madi love their new toy box from Grandma and Grandpa Stromness!

Here they are, playing with their new toys from Santa:

And I just couldn't resist putting this video up. It shows how much fun the girls really had:

We hope you all had as much fun on Christmas morning as we did, and that you were able to feel the Savior's love on this special day- the day we celebrate His birth into the world, and reflect on the many wonderful gifts He gave to us. Merry Christmas!

Oh my gosh! Madi and Aspen are so adorable! Having little children around at the holidays is so wonderful! I could just sit there and watch my kids open their gifts all day long and watch their excitement. I don't even need presents anymore (well, maybe a couple). Happy New Year!

What SWEET girls! "Oh, Merry Christmas, Madi!" and then Madi kissing the present. I wish I could have seen Madi the other day! Cameron has one of those little bike/walking toys and he likes it--he'll like it even more when he discovers how to ride it.
