Saturday was my 31st Birthday. Since Jim kind of forgot about my Birthday last year, we decided to celebrate my 30th as well as my 31st. That's ok by me- I didn't really want to turn 30 last year, it was kind of depressing for me.
Jim got me a Garmin GPS unit for the car, so that I won't get lost anymore (I have a really hard time with directions, being somewhat dislexic between my right and my left). He also got me some new sunglasses, which I've been needing ever since Aspen pulled mine apart, separating them in the middle. It was a sad day for me, as I loved those sunglasses. But my new ones are even better. We were also able to get some of the staff girls to take Aspen and Madi for the night, and we went down to watch Iron Man. Going to the movies is still one of our favorite date night activities.
Mom and Dad sent me a Milka bar that they had saved from their trip to Slovenia to pick me up from my mission. It has been 10 years in May since I went into the MTC! Although it was one of the more difficult things I have done in my life, it was an incredible experience spending a year and a half there. Eating that candy bar brought back many fond memories, too!
It was a much better Birthday than last year!

oh man, I had it written down and everything! I'm so sorry I forgot to call... Things have been crazy and I know it's no excuse but i'm sorry! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'll be in town around the 20th of July so we'll need to do something! love you.
pS Thanks for the game night a few weeks ago. It was just what we needed! Plus is was so much fun being with you guys!
