The other morning, Aspen crawled into bed next to me in Daddy's spot, since he was already up and gone to work. I was only half asleep, and she was being so sweet, and trying to be quiet. I overheard her, and just had to open my eyes to see what she was doing. Here's what I saw: She had both her hands pointing toward eachother with the fingers all together, like they were "talking" to eachother. Then, there was her left foot, getting in on the action. The foot was Daddy, the left hand was Mommy, and the right hand was Aspen. Here's how the conversation went:
Foot: "Don't push Mommy, it isn't nice!"
Left Hand: pushes the right hand
Foot: "Don't push Mommy!! It isn't nice!"
I'm not sure how long this went on, probably only a couple of seconds. I couldn't help but laugh, and wonder if what we're trying to teach her is really sinking in...

oh goodness. I know sometimes you have to wonder if you're just hitting your head against the wall, but you're teaching her! and at least you woke up to sometime to laugh about :)
how funny! And cute, too bad you couldn't have taken a candid picture of her! :)
