This week I was able to finish up a couple of quilt tops I've been working on. It's so rewarding to see a project finally come together that you've spent a lot of time on. The question is, will I ever finish the quilts? Hopefully!!

The above picture was taken from my cell phone and turned out really bad. The quilt still needs another border too- I need to go buy some navy fabric to add a 4-inch border. I've posted a few pictures of the individual blocks of this quilt already and wanted to show how it looks with them all put together. This was my Jelly Roll Block-of-the-month project, and it was really, really fun to do! I love how each block is different, but with the same fabrics.

Okay, here it is: the Double Wedding Ring!! This is a close-up of the center.

And here's the whole thing. I had a good time making this. The hardest part was that I didn't have a pattern for this particular layout, with the white border inside it like that. I saw a picture of a quilt like this on a bed online, and decided to try to copy it. It was pretty tricky getting the inside corners of the outer ring border (where the 3 rings come together) to line up right... it involved a lot of un-picking and re-doing... but as long as you don't look too closely, it looks fine. Now for the hard part- Quilting & finishing it!!

Kim - those are AMAZING! I love the double ring quilt and I've heard that it is one of the hardest to do. What talent you have! I'm jealous! I'm going to have to put in an order someday for you to make one for me!
