Here we are in May Crew- that's where about 12-15 staff come on early and we begin to de-winterize camp and get everything ready for Family Camp. So far, it has been a very rainy and snowy May. There are only 5 more days until the rest of the staff get here, so hopefully all the projects will get finished (the pool, the ropes course, all the cleaning up from winter debris, etc.) but things are looking good and we are beginning to believe that summertime will actually come! I have to admit, June-August are the highlight of our year. There is one huge project that Jim has been in charge of the past 3 years and that is the Closing Show, which is a musical program put on by all the age group children and their counselors at the end of the week before the groups all leave. So far it is about 80% finished... but, if it comes together like I am hoping it will, it will be really fun! I really, really think we need to do a Dodds Family Reunion up here one of these summers. Or a Stromness one, for that matter! It would be a total blast! Here are some memories from the last one (in 2003...7 year ago)

Good old May crew. We have many great memories from May crew and Cabin 50.
i love aspen grove. Brent's grandparents are taking us all up there again for a reunion next summer. I'm so excited. very end of July. see you then!
